The Hype Team

Kim.headshot2013Kim Straka

Kim is the founder of Hype Communications, LLC.  She is pushing 20 years of experience in marketing and public relations for government, non-profit and for-profit entities.

Over the years she has successfully garnered exposure in several national and local media outlets such as NBC’s Today Show, Travel Channel, Home & Garden Network, USA Today, Sports Illustrated, Men’s Health, Out, New York Times, Boston Globe and Washington Post.

Kim finds working one-on-one with people to help and train them to better their own marketing efforts is very gratifying.  She enjoys that each client brings a new and different challenge to the work place each day.

When Kim’s not working, she tries to spend time laughing with family and friends. Kim’s a big fan of the community she lives and works in, and enjoys taking advantage of all it has to offer.

Oh yeah, Kim’s also quite outspoken about being the proud owner of the BEST English Setter this side of the Mississippi – or something like that.

Lisa’s a pretty awesome graphic designer by trade and also is a pretty creative wordsmith when needed.

When Lisa is not behind her Mac, she’s usually at her studio creating funky purses and scarves to sell at various craft fairs and farmers’ markets. The girl never stops!

We call him Taps and he is the web guy or should we say techy extraordinaire… He’s also probably the nicest guy we know. He has almost 20 years of experience on web projects for small business, start-ups, government agencies, corporations, and non-profits.

A couple facts about Taps are he’s also a photographer, and he is NOT quite as nice when he is on the racquetball or basketball court.

Kate and Kim worked together years ago and now Kate has come back to help with some HYPE clients.

She’s been putting her social media and writing skills to good use but when she’s not being super helpful at HYPE, she loves trying out the newest restaurant, going to yoga or simply enjoying life with her family.
